Bar Stool Production

Project: Seaport Restaurant New York City
Client: Martin Brudnizki Design Studio
Summary: MBDS required emphasis on how the bar stool looked from the back because of its orientation within the restaurant. Meaning the intersection of materials needed to be crisp. Primarily our design team presents orthographic drawings to fabricators. Although the upholstery, metal and wood work was to be done by various facilities; I built the parts in Solidworks to ensure it would assemble as intended and the part drawings were comprehensive. This exploded view [pictured below] was for our team who would assemble. The prototype review with the MBDS team was a lot of fun for me, speaking in depth about design decisions with like minded people.
